Major Drug Bust in Lanao del Sur

Authorities in the Bangsamoro region have made a significant breakthrough in the fight against illegal drugs. Police operatives successfully arrested two individuals and seized a substantial quantity of shabu valued at over four hundred thousand pesos during a targeted operation in Lanao del Sur.

Operation Details and Arrests

The anti-drug operation, which was a buy-bust, took place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Beta village, Tubaran, Lanao del Sur. The two suspects, identified by police as alias Paks and alias Bakbak, were apprehended at the scene. Both individuals are of legal age.

During the operation, law enforcement agents confiscated 62 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P421,600. In addition to the illegal drugs, evidence collected included the buy-bust money used in the operation and various paraphernalia associated with the drug trade.

Aftermath and Official Statement

Following their arrest, the two suspects and the confiscated evidence were turned over to the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office. The items are now under proper custody for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.

Police Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman, the director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), praised the operating teams for their swift and well-coordinated efforts, which led to this successful operation. He also took the opportunity to encourage the public to remain vigilant and to continue their support for the government's ongoing campaign against illegal drugs and criminality.
