PRO 7 and OLCFI Bring 'Gasa sa Gugma' to 27 Elderly in Danao City

Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 and the Officers Ladies Club Foundation Inc. (OLCFI) launched the “PRO 7 CARES” program, also known as “Gasa sa Gugma ug Pag-amuma Alang sa Katigulangan,” in observance of the 31st Police Community Relations (PCR) Month in July 2026. The event took place on July 8, 2026, at the Ramon Durano Foundation Home for the Aged in Barangay Guinsay, Danao City.

27 Elderly Beneficiaries Receive Essential Goods

A total of 27 elderly residents residing in the facility benefited from the initiative. The program was led by Police Brigadier General Arnold Abad, chief of police in Central Visayas, along with his spouse, Retired Police Brigadier General Sarah Abad, who also serves as the adviser of PRO 7 OLCFI.

Emphasis on Community Engagement

Under the theme of PCR Month, the police emphasized their ongoing efforts to enhance community engagement by caring for the elderly who require special attention. During the activity, essential goods were distributed to the 27 beneficiaries. The items included 5 kilograms of rice per person, personal hygiene products, food, and soap to help meet their daily needs.
