Western Visayas Police Arrest 194 Wanted Persons in Month-Long Op

The Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) has reported a major breakthrough in its campaign against fugitives, announcing the arrest of 194 wanted persons in a focused, region-wide operation throughout November 2025.

Month-Long Manhunt Yields High-Profile Arrests

From November 1 to November 30, 2025, police units across Western Visayas executed a coordinated manhunt to enforce standing warrants and bolster public safety. The operation achieved a significant milestone by apprehending all ten individuals on the region's Top 10 Most Wanted list. Furthermore, the haul included the capture of one national most wanted person, marking a critical success for the regional police force.

Breakdown of Arrests Across Provinces and Cities

The campaign saw participation from all city and provincial police units in Western Visayas. Leading the effort was the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), which accounted for an impressive 100 arrests, including the high-profile national most wanted individual. The Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) followed with 27 arrests, while the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) contributed 24 apprehensions. Other police offices in the region made up the remaining arrests, demonstrating a united front against criminal elements.

Leadership Credits Coordination and Community Help

Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, the Regional Director of PRO 6, lauded the concerted efforts of the police personnel. He emphasized that the results underscore their unwavering commitment to ensuring fugitives face justice. General Ligan also highlighted an indispensable factor in the operation's success: vital information provided by the public.

"These results reflect the commitment and determination of our personnel to ensure that fugitives are brought to justice," Ligan stated. He pointed out that tips and cooperation from residents were instrumental in locating individuals who had long been evading the law.

All 194 arrested persons have been processed and turned over to the appropriate courts to face the legal consequences for their alleged crimes. This large-scale operation underscores PRO 6's intensified drive to clear warrants and enhance security for communities throughout Western Visayas.
