A young woman faced a terrifying ordeal inside her own home on Friday afternoon, December 19, 2025, when an armed man forced his way into her condo unit in Cebu City.
Brazen Afternoon Attack
The incident occurred around 4:00 PM at the Corinthian Residences on Andres Abellana Extension in Barangay Guadalupe. The victim, a 24-year-old resident who goes by the alias Joy, was inside her unit when the suspect suddenly entered.
According to the victim's report filed at the Guadalupe Police Station 9, she confronted the intruder and asked his intentions. Instead of answering, the man brandished a knife and pointed it at her, instilling immediate fear.
The Robbery and Chase
Frightened for her safety, Joy backed away from the armed man. Seizing the opportunity, the robber grabbed her cellular phone valued at P20,000, which was lying on a sofa, and fled the unit.
Displaying remarkable courage, the victim pursued the suspect as he exited the residential building. However, the chase was cut short when the man turned around and threatened her again by waving the knife. He then made his escape on a red Honda Click motorcycle with the plate number GA341J.

Authorities from the Guadalupe Police have immediately launched a hot pursuit operation to apprehend the suspect. Investigators have already identified a person of interest based on witness accounts.
The police have a name for the alleged robber and have confirmed he is a resident of Barangay Kalunasan. The investigation is ongoing as officers work to track down the suspect and recover the stolen property.
