The Philadelphia 76ers are hopeful that their star center Joel Embiid will recover quickly from the latest injuries he has sustained: right hip soreness and a right ankle sprain.
Embiid did not play in the 76ers' latest loss against the host New York Knicks, 108-102, on Thursday, May 7, 2026 (Philippine time), which resulted in them falling into a 0-2 deficit in their Eastern Conference semi-finals series in the NBA Playoffs.
The 76ers will now host the next two games of the series and are simply hoping that Embiid can return to play by that time.
