Thunder Ties West Finals 1-1 with 122-113 Win Over Spurs

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points to lead the host Oklahoma City Thunder to a 122-113 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals on Thursday, May 21, 2026 (PH time), tying the series at 1-1.

Gilgeous-Alexander, who struggled in the Thunder's double-overtime loss in Game 1, 115-122, handled the Spurs' defense better this time. However, he credited teamwork for the win. "The guys brought it tonight, knowing what it would have meant if we lost this one. We brought the energy from the jump," said Gilgeous-Alexander, who recently received his second consecutive MVP award.

The game was tied at 31-31 after the first quarter, but the defending champion Thunder gradually pulled away, taking an 62-51 lead at halftime. Led by Stephon Castle, Victor Wembanyama, and Devin Vassell, the Spurs mounted a 15-4 run to tie the game at 66-66 midway through the third quarter. However, the Thunder regained a double-digit lead, 87-77, by the end of the third quarter.
