Eman Pacquiao loses rematch to Perez by majority decision

Eman Pacquiao, the son of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, suffered a majority decision loss to Rodelyn Perez in their rematch for the Philippine Boxing Federation Youth lightweight title on Sunday evening, June 21, 2026, at the DRP Sports Complex in Muntinlupa City.

Pacquiao knocked down in second round

Pacquiao was first knocked down in the 2nd round after being hit by a solid left hook from Perez. He managed to get back on his feet but was visibly unsteady as Perez continued to attack. Pacquiao survived the round.

Multiple knockdowns in third round

In the 3rd round, Pacquiao was knocked down twice more but again managed to finish the round. He lasted the full 8-round fight and even earned a draw on one judge's scorecard, 75-75, from judge Silvestre Abainza.

However, the other two judges, Carlos Baluyot (75-74) and Oliver Garcia (76-73), scored the fight in favor of Perez, giving him the victory by majority decision.

Perez avenges previous loss

This win served as a harsh revenge for Perez, who had lost to Pacquiao by majority decision in 2024 on the Blow by Blow boxing program.

Perez, a native of Zamboanga Sibugay, improved his record to 6-4 with 4 knockouts, while Pacquiao, who has also ventured into showbiz and modeling alongside his boxing career, dropped to 8-2-1 with 5 knockouts.
