PBA Governors' Cup Returns to Group Format

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is reverting to a group format for its Governors' Cup, which will tip off on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Group A and Group B Lineups

Group A consists of Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings, Magnolia Hotshots, Meralco Bolts, Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, Phoenix Fuel Masters, and Blackwater Bossing. Group B includes TNT Tropang 5G, San Miguel Beermen, NLEX Road Warriors, Converge FiberXers, Titan Ultra Giant Risers, Terrafirma Dyip, and guest team Macau Giant Pandas.

Elimination Round Format

During the elimination round, teams will face each opponent within their group twice and will not play against teams from the other group. The top four teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals.

Quarter-finals and Beyond

The quarter-finals will be a best-of-three series with pairings: Group A No. 1 vs. Group B No. 4, Group A No. 2 vs. Group B No. 3, Group A No. 3 vs. Group B No. 2, and Group A No. 4 vs. Group B No. 1. Winners advance to the semi-finals, which will be a best-of-seven series. The semi-final winners will then compete in a best-of-seven finals series.
