Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Patrick "Pato" Gregorio confirmed this record-breaking move, emphasizing that the nearly doubled participation count provides the country with a significant advantage. "We're sending the biggest delegation of athletes. In terms of the number of sports, I'm not certain if there were adjustments or removals. But what I'm sure of is this is the biggest delegation in the history of the Philippines' participation in the Southeast Asian Games," Gregorio stated with confidence.
