Angilou Dalogdog will be stepping into hostile territory as he challenges for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia flyweight title against undefeated Indonesian fighter Aser Kewas on June 20, 2026, in Jakarta, Indonesia. This marks Dalogdog's first regional title shot and his first fight outside the Philippines.
Dalogdog's Journey to the Title Shot
Dalogdog, nicknamed “Pinoy Ali” for his slick boxing style, is eager to secure consecutive victories after suffering his first professional defeat last year. He was stopped by Albert Francisco in the 10th round of a Philippine flyweight championship bout in Mandaluyong. The 29-year-old Filipino bounced back with a technical decision win over Dennis Gaviola late last year in Naga City, Cebu.
Kewas: A Rising Indonesian Prospect
Kewas, 25, is an undefeated prospect on the rise. He previously held the World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian flyweight title, which he captured by knocking out Jinnawat Rienpith in the second round in 2022, in just his fifth professional fight. Last year, he scored the biggest win of his career by defeating former regional champion Andika D'Golden Boy via unanimous decision.
Dalogdog holds an impressive record of 11 wins and one loss, with four knockouts. Kewas boasts a perfect 10-0 record with seven knockouts. The clash promises to be a thrilling encounter between two hungry fighters aiming for regional glory.
