Philippines Boosts Digital Government with Maya Partnership at SFF 2025
Philippines, Maya Partner to Boost Digital Government Services

The Philippines is taking significant strides toward digital transformation through an expanded collaboration between the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the fintech platform Maya. This partnership was officially announced at the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) on November 14, 2025.

A New Era for Digital Government Services

The enhanced alliance aims to make government services more efficient and broaden the availability of digital financial tools for millions of citizens across the nation. A key part of this initiative involves integrating Maya's comprehensive suite of services—which includes digital payments, savings products, credit options, and a rewards system—directly into the government's eGovPH application.

This integration is designed to facilitate quicker and more secure transactions for users. It will also offer personalized incentives to encourage more Filipinos to adopt digital channels for their official needs.

Leadership Perspectives on the Collaboration

DICT Secretary Henry Aguda emphasized the partnership's importance for national progress. He stated that by enabling seamless digital payments and expanding access to financial tools within the eGovPH app, the country moves closer to a future where all government transactions are simple, secure, and truly accessible to every Filipino.

Executives from Maya highlighted how this collaboration showcases the power of fintech to modernize public service platforms. Shailesh Baidwan, Maya Group President and Co-Founder of Maya Bank, noted that the DICT is building the foundational architecture for a modern digital government, and Maya is proud to deliver the financial layer that supports it.

Adding to this, Orlando Vea, Founder and CEO, said the partnership is crucial for bringing essential services closer to citizens, simplifying everything from paying for permits to supporting the growth of small businesses.

Extending Benefits to the Delivery Sector

The partnership's scope also extends to the Private Express and Messengerial Delivery Services sector. For delivery operators and riders operating under this regulatory framework, Maya will provide a suite of digital tools.

This includes access to digital payments, micro-savings accounts, credit and insurance products, and rewards for compliance. This initiative is expected to strengthen financial stability and promote greater transparency within the vital logistics industry.

Concurrently, at the Singapore FinTech Festival, Maya is co-presenting the Philippine Pavilion alongside FintechAlliance.ph. The pavilion showcases the country's significant advances in digital finance, citizen-centric innovation, and open government initiatives, underscoring the Philippines' expanding influence in the regional digital economy.
