3,487 Jobs at Independence Day Fair in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA. A total of 3,487 job vacancies will be available at the Independence Day job fair in the Zamboanga Peninsula, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Job Fair Locations and Participants

DOLE-Zamboanga Peninsula Director Albert Gutib said the job fair will be held at two venues: KCC Mall in Zamboanga City and Gaisano Mall in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. He noted that 1,671 of the vacancies are for overseas employment, while the remaining 1,816 are for local positions.

Gutib confirmed that six overseas placement agencies and 35 local companies will participate in the event. He advised job seekers to apply for positions that match their educational background or qualifications to increase their chances of being hired.

One-Stop Shop Services

In addition to the job fair, Gutib said partner agencies will offer one-stop shop services at the venue. “Twenty-one agencies are invited to participate in our one-stop shop services and to share with our fellow citizens their programs and services,” he stated.

The 128th Philippine Independence Day celebration is anchored on the theme “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan” (Freedom, Future, History). The theme highlights how freedom and the future are deeply connected to the nation's rich history, calling on all Filipinos to honor their past while working together toward progress.
