8 Pampanga Seniors Receive P100,000 Cash Gift

Eight senior citizens from Pampanga each received P100,000 as a cash gift from the Provincial Government, as announced on June 9, 2026. The distribution was facilitated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) for elderly residents aged 95 years and above.

Governor Leads Awarding Ceremony

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, alongside members of the Provincial Board, personally met with the beneficiaries and led the awarding of the incentives. “This is our way of recognizing the wisdom, sacrifices, and legacy of our elders who have given so much to their families and to the province,” Pineda stated.

The governor reminded the recipients to use the money wisely and assured them that the provincial government will continue providing support to the elderly community.

Program Background

According to the PSWDO, a total of 203 senior citizens aged 95 and above have received the one-time cash incentive from June 2025 to the present. The program is implemented under Ordinance No. 647, the amended Senior Citizens Code of Pampanga, which lowered the age qualification from 100 to 95 years old. Previously, only centenarians were entitled to the cash gift.

The provincial government emphasized its commitment to recognizing and caring for senior citizens, who are considered pillars of their families and communities. This initiative reflects the province’s dedication to honoring the elderly and ensuring their well-being.
