Grab Philippines has mobilized PHP 350 million through its Grab Bayanihan Fuel Crisis Support Program to assist its partners as rising fuel prices continue to impact the earnings of transport and delivery professionals.
Program Components
The program includes expanded incentives, spot bonuses, and commission rebates. A key feature is the rebate distribution through Grab Turbo, a new driving mode that helps driver-partners optimize earnings and access a responsive incentive structure. These initiatives have reduced Grab’s effective commission rates for four-wheel mobility services to 15 percent.
Transparency and Tracking
Grab launched the Digital Earnings Tracker, a portal where GrabCar driver-partners can review detailed earnings statements, including total fare, effective commission, incentives, and net earnings.
Delivery Partner Support
For delivery, Grab rolled out spot bonuses for completed trips, with total outlays exceeding PHP 50 million as of mid-April. The superapp also provides bicycle subsidies for delivery-partners transitioning to bike-based deliveries. Partners may qualify for grocery credits, fuel subsidies, and medical vouchers based on performance.
Long-term Commitment
Grab Philippines Managing Director Ronald Roda stated: "When fuel prices rise, livelihoods are the first to feel it, and platforms like ours carry a responsibility to respond with the scale and speed that the moment requires. The PHP 350 million we have mobilized is resilience, designed to keep our driver- and delivery-partners on the road and their families steady through the crisis."
Private Sector Partnerships
Through tie-ups with fuel companies, Grab secured pump discounts for four-wheel and two-wheel partners, and similar arrangements were made for MOVE IT. Under its partnership with Seaoil, partners have claimed over PHP 2 million in fuel savings. Grab also extended fuel support via Shell Fleet Cards enabled by Grab Financial Group, with March rebates reaching PHP 1 million.
Eco-Drive Initiative
Grab highlighted its newly launched Eco-Drive Initiative, Southeast Asia's largest EV financing coalition for ride-hailing. Unveiled in April 2026, it brings together BDO and BPI; global automakers Toyota, BYD, and GAC; and distributors Autohub Group and QSJ Motors Phil to give TNVS drivers access to electric and hybrid vehicles through preferential green auto loans, flexible daily repayments via Grab Driver Wallet, and exclusive vehicle discounts.
