LTO-7 distributes 5,000+ motorcycle plates in first week

The Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas (LTO-7) distributed over 5,000 motorcycle plates during the first week of its “Friendly Flag Down” campaign, which started on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

According to data from LTO-7, a total of 5,304 plates were distributed in the initial week of the campaign. The initiative aims to bring government services closer to motorists while addressing unclaimed plates in Cebu and Bohol.

LTO-7 Director Wendel Dinglasan stated that this initiative is part of efforts to improve public perception of the agency. Dinglasan personally led the plate distribution in southern Cebu, including the municipality of Badian, where over 100 plates were released.

Operations are conducted daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. According to Dinglasan, personnel from various district and extension offices are putting in extra hours for this campaign. He added that staff go out on the streets before and after office hours to facilitate the release of plates.

During the operation, personnel flag down motorcycles still using temporary plates.
