The Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Mabolo Police Station successfully rescued a 15-year-old boy during a buy-bust operation at 9:05 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in Sitio San Isidro, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
Details of the Operation
The minor, identified by the alias Lee, a resident of Sitio Plaza, Barangay Apas, Cebu City, was apprehended after selling illegal drugs to an undercover officer. Confiscated from him was a pack of suspected shabu weighing approximately five grams, with a standard drug price of PHP 34,000, along with buy-bust money.
Criminal Background
Investigation by the Mabolo Police Station revealed that alias Lee is a notorious thief. When he obtains money, he purchases a supply of illegal drugs to sell to his customers. One of the operatives from Mabolo Police Station stated that Lee belongs to a group whose main activity is theft. He was even identified as the one who took a firearm from a businessman inside his vehicle.
Currently, alias Lee is in the custody of the Mabolo Police Station and is scheduled to be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development 7 for intervention.
