Pampanga Aids 3,265 Students with Disabilities, Children of PWDs

Pampanga provincial government has distributed educational financial assistance to 3,265 students with disabilities and children of persons with disabilities (PWDs), Governor Lilia Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis Pineda announced.

The distribution took place in several payouts across the province's first, second, and fourth districts on April 23, 2026.

Breakdown of Beneficiaries

In the first district, 659 beneficiaries from Magalang received aid. The second district saw 1,281 recipients in Lubao, while the fourth district had 1,325 in Apalit. In total, 3,265 students benefited.

Each beneficiary received ?2,500 and food packs. The total financial assistance distributed amounted to ?8,162,500.

Government Support for PWDs

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office stated that the program is part of broader efforts to expand support services for PWDs and their families. The Capitol also reported that nearly 5,000 PWD youth and children of PWDs benefit from its ongoing programs.

This initiative underscores the provincial government's commitment to inclusive education and social welfare.
