This decision was made by the UAAP Board of Trustees following the recommendation of their Board of Managing Directors. They described it as a measure to preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation and ensure full transparency and due process.

Ateneo has accepted the resignation of team manager Epok Quimpo and Baldwin, who appeared on Friday at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Camp Crame along with other staff members.

Although the UAAP did not name individuals, other members of Baldwin's staff include Jon Jacinto, Sandro Soriano, and Dean Castano.

According to the UAAP board, the coaches are "strictly prohibited from participating in any UAAP-related activity, in any capacity, while investigations by relevant government agencies, Ateneo's independent fact-finding body, and the league's own officials are ongoing."

The UAAP has set July 15 as the deadline for Ateneo to submit the official results of its investigation into the incident.
