A woman identified as a high-value target (HVT) was arrested, and approximately PHP 3.4 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated during an anti-drug operation in Lanao del Sur, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Operation Details

The PDEA in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) identified the suspect through her aliases as Jonairah or Alex, 39 years old. She was apprehended in a buy-bust operation on Monday, April 27, in Barangay Panggao Saduc, Marawi City.

Seized Items

Authorities confiscated 500 grams of shabu (methamphetamine) packed in a single transparent plastic bag, valued at PHP 3.4 million, along with the buy-bust money used in the operation.

Legal Charges

The suspect will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The anti-drug operation was led by the PDEA-Lanao del Sur Provincial Office, with support from the 4th Mechanized Battalion and local police forces.
