BDO Insure has introduced Pet Dog and Cat Insurance, offering furry companions the love and security they deserve. The insurance, starting at an affordable annual premium of P560, provides fur-parents with peace of mind through comprehensive coverage for their beloved pets.

Pet Insurance Coverage Details

The insurance covers veterinary medical reimbursement for unexpected visits, pet owner's liability benefit for everyday adventures, and accidental death benefit for unforeseen circumstances. Fur-parents can customize their plans with four schemes:

  • Plan A: Up to P15,000 per accident pet medical reimbursement (max P75,000), up to P15,000 insured pet owner's accidental death and disablement, and customizable add-ons. Annual premium starts at P560.
  • Plan B: Up to P20,000 per accident pet medical reimbursement (max P100,000), up to P20,000 insured pet owner's accidental death and disablement, and customizable add-ons. Annual premium starts at P700.
  • Plan C: Up to P25,000 per accident pet medical reimbursement (max P125,000), up to P25,000 insured pet owner's accidental death and disablement, and customizable add-ons. Annual premium starts at P820.
  • Plan D: Up to P30,000 per accident pet medical reimbursement (max P150,000), up to P30,000 insured pet owner's accidental death and disablement, and customizable add-ons. Annual premium starts at P920.

Add-on Benefits

Additional add-ons include Pet Medical Reimbursement for Covered Illnesses with 80% reimbursement up to P30,000 per illness (max P150,000), Pet Acute Dental Conditions coverage up to P30,000 per condition (max P150,000), and Pet Accidental Death or Essential Euthanasia assistance up to P10,000.

Coverage and Inclusions

The policy reimburses 80% of veterinary expenses for injuries from accidents such as bone fracture, burn or electrocution, complications from drowning, bite wounds, tick paralysis, snake bite toxicity, foreign body obstruction, poisoning, embedded grass seed, anaphylactic shock, and torn nail. It also includes pet owner's liability, international travel emergency medical treatment, and petnap coverage.

Eligibility and Requirements

Insurable pets include dogs and cats (all breeds and mixed breeds) aged 3 months to 6 years. Requirements include an accomplished online application form, at least three pet photos (front, back, left, right, sphinx), and optional documents like Pet Book with updated vaccination records and veterinarian details.
