BSP Guarantees Uninterrupted Public Access Despite Energy Conservation Drive

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has firmly committed to maintaining its public service operations every Friday, even as it actively participates in the government's widespread energy conservation campaign. This assurance comes as part of a strategic effort to balance fiscal responsibility with essential banking functions.

Onsite Operations and Physical Transaction Services

Physical branches will remain accessible during designated hours, ensuring minimal disruption to cash operations and document processing. Specifically, the BSP Head Office in Manila, the Security Plant Complex in Quezon City, and all regional offices and branches nationwide will continue to operate from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Additionally, the BSP Hub in Manila will persist in accepting transactions related to BSP-acquired real properties and physical documents every Friday, providing a consistent point of contact for specialized banking needs.

Digital and Online Service Continuity

Digital platforms will operate without interruption, offering round-the-clock support to financial consumers. The BSP Online Buddy (BOB) chatbot remains fully functional and accessible via the BSP website, Facebook Messenger, and the official mobile application, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Through this innovative digital tool, consumers can seamlessly submit complaints regarding products and services managed by BSP-supervised institutions. Alternatively, grievances may also be directed to the consumer affairs office of the respective institution, ensuring multiple avenues for redress.

Commemorative Sales and Merchandise Accessibility

The BSP Store will continue its operations unabated, selling commemorative coins and other central bank merchandise through its online facility. This ensures that collectors and enthusiasts retain access to these items despite the energy-saving measures.

Despite the implementation of energy conservation protocols, the BSP has emphatically stated that public service will not be compromised. The central bank's operations will proceed smoothly and continuously on all scheduled days, reflecting its dedication to maintaining stability and trust in the financial system.
