The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) has officially launched Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2026, marking 30 years of the event that has become a cornerstone for business and community development in the region. Under the theme "Padayon Cebu," which translates to "Continue Cebu," this year's edition emphasizes sustained growth, collaboration, and innovation.
A Legacy of Growth and Collaboration
Since its inception as Cebu Business Day in 1991 and its evolution into Cebu Business Month through Presidential Proclamation 748 in 1996, CBM has mirrored the dynamic growth of Cebu's business landscape. The event has consistently served as a platform for industries, innovators, and communities to come together and drive the city forward.
Building on Success
Following the success of CBM 2025, which attracted over 10,000 participants and focused on digital transformation, MICE tourism, creativity, and entrepreneurship, CBM 2026 adopts a more focused and action-driven approach. Over two months, the festival will bring together businesses, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), startups, creatives, and the youth through programs designed to turn ideas into opportunities and partnerships into progress.
Vision for the Future
"We want CBM to grow not only as a Chamber event, but as Cebu's flagship business and investment festival," said Regan Rex King, CCCI President. He emphasized Cebu's vision of becoming a thriving hub for business, investment, and community development. The event is chaired by Bryan Yap, who is leading the efforts to ensure CBM 2026 delivers tangible outcomes for all stakeholders.
CBM 2026 promises to be a pivotal moment for Cebu's economic trajectory, fostering an environment where innovation meets opportunity and collaboration drives sustainable progress.
