Liloan Drug Bust: P2.5M Shabu Seized, Two Arrested

A construction worker who previously benefited from a plea bargain and his companion, a mechanic, were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 together with the Liloan Municipal Police Station at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Purok Mahogany, Barangay Tayud, Liloan town.

Suspects Identified

PDEA 7 Director Joel Plaza identified the suspects as alias Joseph, 39, a construction worker from Barangay Catarman, and alias Christopher, 33, an auto mechanic from Barangay Tayud.

Seized Items

Confiscated from them were 13 packets of suspected shabu weighing 375 grams with an average market value of P2.5 million, buy-bust money, a cellphone, and a sedan vehicle.

Case Buildup

According to Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA 7, alias Joseph had been under case buildup for two weeks before the buy-bust was conducted.

Joseph had previously been arrested in Carmen town for a similar illegal drug case but was able to plea bargain and was released.
