Production Company Demands P2.07M Payment from Sinulog Foundation
Production Firm Seeks P2.07M from Sinulog Foundation

A production company has formally demanded payment from the Sinulog Foundation Inc. (SFI) for an outstanding debt of over P2 million, which has remained unpaid for nearly two years.

Formal Demand Letter Sent to SFI

In a letter addressed to SFI President Pericles Dakay and Executive Director Elmer Labella, Junjet's Productions revealed that it has repeatedly followed up on payment since 2024 up to 2026 but has received no formal response from the organizers.

The company stated that it had long fulfilled all requirements for the Sinulog 2024 events, which were held under the theme 'Sinulog: United in Faith and Love.'

'We have continued to reach out, but we have not received any acknowledgment or update from your office,' the letter read.

Outstanding Balance Details

Junjet's Productions is demanding the remaining balance of P2.074 million for production services rendered under the 'Sinulog sa Sugbo Philippines 2024 (Still One Cebu Island).'

Based on billing documents submitted to the foundation, the total contract amount was P3.074 million, with a cash advance of P1 million already received. This leaves a balance of P2.074 million that remains unpaid.

Although the project was completed, delivered, and accepted by the organizers, it remains unprocessed to this day.

Impact on Operations

The company acknowledged that the delay has significantly affected its operations and financial standing. Demosthenes Jimenez, Senior Production Manager of Junjet's Productions, who signed the letter, also expressed his frustration on his Facebook page due to the lack of communication from SFI.

The company noted that while minor delays could be understood, the nearly two-year delay without clear communication is considered unreasonable.

As of this writing, SFI has not issued a statement when contacted for comment.
