178M Liters of Diesel Arrive in PH to Stabilize Supply

The Department of Energy (DOE) announced that a total of 178 million liters of diesel have arrived in the country as part of the government's measures to stabilize the oil supply amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. According to the DOE, the latest shipment completes four cargoes under Executive Order No. 110, issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to protect the economy from volatile global oil prices.

Energy Secretary Sharon Garin stated that the successful delivery, managed by the Philippine National Oil Company-Exploration Corporation (PNOC-EC), demonstrates the government's swift action to ensure sufficient fuel supply in the country. The shipments were distributed to key hubs in Batangas, Subic, and Davao to provide adequate supply across different regions.

The DOE emphasized that these reserves are crucial to ensure the continuous operations of transportation, logistics, and agriculture sectors. The agency also assured the public that it will continue to monitor the global oil market and implement necessary measures to safeguard the country's energy security.
