This event, held on March 19, 2026, marks the successful completion of the Packaging and Labeling Assistance Program, a collaborative initiative designed to enhance market readiness and foster inclusive enterprise development.
Ceremony Highlights and Key Facilitators
The turnover ceremony was facilitated by Raisheine Joyce Arcillas, Science Research Specialist II, and Ela Marie P. Balo, Project Technical Assistant I of DOST Iloilo, alongside Juan Sancho Nalunat of the Iloilo City Government Ledip Office. Their efforts ensured a smooth and impactful event, underscoring the program's commitment to supporting local businesses.
Comprehensive Training and Technical Support
Participating MSMEs benefited from extensive training sessions covering food safety, packaging, and labeling. These workshops were complemented by technical consultancy with experts, helping enterprises meet regulatory standards and improve their overall product quality. This holistic approach not only addresses immediate packaging needs but also builds long-term capacity for sustainable growth.
Empowering Women Entrepreneurs for Sustainable Growth
Beyond technical assistance, the program empowers women-led enterprises by focusing on business development, market expansion, and the promotion of sustainable practices. By enhancing their packaging, these MSMEs can better compete in local and regional markets, driving economic inclusivity and resilience in Iloilo City.
Reflecting a Commitment to Local Enterprise Support
The packaging turnover ceremony reflects the ongoing dedication of DOST and the Iloilo City Government to bolster local enterprises and champion women entrepreneurship. This initiative highlights how public-private collaborations can create tangible impacts, fostering a supportive ecosystem for MSMEs to thrive and contribute to the community's economic vitality.
