GSIS Calls for Fast Typhoon Insurance Claims in Capiz

GSIS Mobilizes for Typhoon Victims in Western Visayas

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has issued an urgent call to its members and government agencies across the Western Visayas, particularly in Capiz province, to immediately file insurance claims for properties and vehicles damaged by the recent typhoons. This appeal comes as a direct response to the widespread destruction left by Super Typhoon Uwan and Typhoon Tino, which caused severe flooding and infrastructure damage.

Streamlined Claims Process for Faster Recovery

GSIS President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo “Wick” Veloso emphasized the state pension fund's commitment to accelerating the recovery process for those affected by these back-to-back calamities. He stated that the GSIS is prioritizing the assessment and processing of all related claims to provide quick financial relief. "In the face of these successive calamities, our commitment is to help our members and our nation rebuild as quickly as possible," Veloso affirmed in an official news release.

He further highlighted the critical role of insurance as a safety net during disasters, assuring clients that the GSIS is dedicated to ensuring they receive their entitled benefits without unnecessary delays. To expedite support, Veloso advised affected clients to notify GSIS about their claims immediately, even if they have not yet gathered all the formal documentation. This allows the agency to initiate preliminary assessment and support procedures right away.
