In a significant step toward sustainable development for Filipino families, the Bohol Provincial Government and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 7 successfully conducted a groundbreaking job fair specifically designed for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries on November 8, 2025.

Immediate Employment Opportunities

The event, held at the Bohol Provincial Capitol, witnessed more than 769 partner-beneficiaries from various municipalities across Bohol participating in the Local and Overseas Job Fair cum "Panagtagbo alang sa Paglambo sa Pamilyang 4Ps" (4Ps sa 4Ps). The most exciting moment came when several qualified applicants were hired on the spot, immediately securing employment opportunities that would transform their families' economic situations.

Nuat Thai Services Inc. emerged as one of the most active employers, immediately hiring 17 qualified 4Ps beneficiaries. Many other participants continued with follow-up interviews with various companies, showing the strong demand for skilled workers among the graduating households.

Convergence of Government and Private Sector

Organized through the collaborative efforts of the Bohol Employment and Placement Office–Public Employment Service Office (BEPO-PESO) and DSWD, the event demonstrated the power of unity in addressing poverty. Seventeen employers participated in the job fair, opening both local and overseas positions with prominent companies including Alturas Supermarket, Bohol Quality, Concentrix, and Task Us Bohol.

Khristina Umali, Chief of the 4Ps Institutional Partnership Division, emphasized the importance of collective effort during her message. "Through convergence, we live through Bayanihan, where everyone works so that no Filipino family is left behind," Umali stated. "To our 4Ps graduates, you are proof that with support and determination, transformation is possible."

Comprehensive Support Services

Beyond employment opportunities, multiple government agencies provided essential services and programs to support the families' journey toward self-sufficiency. Key participating agencies included the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

The Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Home Development Mutual Fund (PAG-IBIG), and Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) also offered their services, ensuring comprehensive support for the beneficiaries' financial security and health needs.

DSWD Field Office 7 showcased additional programs including the Ayuda Para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) and Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), reinforcing their commitment to building long-term resilience and self-capacity among 4Ps households.

Looking forward, 142,005 households in Central Visayas are projected to graduate from the 4Ps program during the 2025-2026 period. The successful "4Ps sa 4Ps" event serves as a powerful example of how convergence and collaboration can effectively guide families from poverty toward stability and a brighter future.
