SM City Davao, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Davao City, is hosting a specialized Chocolate-themed Exhibit market from June 24 to 30, 2026. The week-long event celebrates Davao City's official declaration as the Chocolate Capital of the Philippines and the Davao Region as the Cacao Capital of the Philippines.
Annual Event Supporting Local MSMEs
Since 2014, this annual gathering has been a dedicated initiative to support local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly homegrown cacao growers and artisan chocolate producers. The event brings their export-quality creations closer to Dabawenyos, allowing the public to discover and indulge in the region's best artisan chocolates and innovative cacao products.
This year's showcase highlights five outstanding local producers: Malagos Agri-Ventures Corporation, the internationally acclaimed pioneer of premium single-origin Davao chocolates; Coco Dolce, known for healthier chocolate creations sweetened with coconut sugar; Sikwate!, which brings traditional Filipino heritage flavors to life through authentic cacao profiles; Hao Cacao Chocolate Processing, showcasing masterfully processed premium local chocolate treats; and Rosario's Delicacies, a beloved household name celebrated for creative integration of local agriculture and traditional sweet delicacies.
Event Details and Admission
The Chocolate-themed Exhibit is located on the Ground Floor of the Main Mall, directly fronting Greenwich at SM City Davao. Admission is free and open to the public for the entire week-long exhibition. According to the organizers, the event aims to take pride in local roots and satisfy sweet cravings while supporting homegrown cacao champions.
Visitors are encouraged to "Gala to the Max" and head over to SM City Davao this week to taste why Davao reigns supreme as the country's ultimate chocolate capital.
