New Direct Bus Service Connects Southern Metro Manila to Clark Airport
Travelers from the southern part of Metro Manila can now enjoy a more convenient journey to Clark International Airport (CRK) with the launch of a direct bus service linking the airport to the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX). This initiative, operated by Genesis Transport Service Inc. (GTSI), aims to enhance accessibility and streamline travel for passengers heading to and from the airport.
Daily Trips and Route Details
The bus service will run daily trips between PITX and Clark airport, with stops at NAIA Terminal 3 and SM City Clark along the way. A total of eight daily trips are scheduled from PITX to Clark, and another eight trips from Clark to PITX, ensuring frequent and reliable connections for travelers. Notably, four of the buses deployed on this new route will be hybrid units, reflecting a commitment to sustainable transportation.
Boosting Airport Accessibility and Growth
This development comes as CRK continues to expand its domestic and international network, with passenger traffic projected to increase by 15 percent compared to last year. The new bus service is expected to complement the transfer of turboprop operations to Clark, further solidifying the airport's role as a key transportation hub. Noel Manankil, President and CEO of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the operator of CRK, emphasized the importance of this service in enhancing passenger experience.
"This new service is a testament to our promised accessibility, convenience, and seamless travel for our passengers," Manankil stated. "By bridging the distance between Southern Metro Manila and Clark, Genesis Transport is helping us bring the airport closer to the people, ensuring that every journey begins and ends with ease and comfort."
A Step Towards Innovation and Progress
Manankil added that this initiative represents another step towards positioning Clark International Airport as not just a hub for flights, but also a center for innovation, collaboration, and progress. The integration of hybrid buses into the fleet underscores this forward-thinking approach, aligning with broader trends in eco-friendly travel solutions.
Overall, the launch of this direct bus service marks a significant improvement in travel infrastructure, offering southern Metro Manila residents a more efficient and comfortable option for reaching Clark International Airport. As passenger numbers continue to rise, such enhancements are crucial for supporting the airport's growth and meeting the evolving needs of travelers.
