Mactan-Cebu International Airport Repeats as Asia-Pacific's Best in Passenger Category
For the second consecutive year, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) has been honored with the prestigious title of Best Airport in Asia-Pacific under the 5–15 million passenger category. This accolade was announced at the 2025 Airports Council International (ACI) World Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards, solidifying MCIA's reputation for exceptional service in the aviation industry.
Recognition Based on Extensive Passenger Feedback
The award is grounded in comprehensive passenger feedback collected through the Airport Service ASQ program. This initiative surveyed more than 700,000 travelers globally, providing a robust dataset that measures customer satisfaction across critical aspects of airport operations. Key areas evaluated include service efficiency, comfort, cleanliness, and the overall passenger experience, ensuring a holistic assessment of airport performance.
Consistent Excellence in Airport Service
In 2024, MCIA also achieved the same distinction, highlighting its consistent commitment to maintaining high standards. The ASQ Customer Experience Awards are widely recognized as the most credible benchmark for excellence in airport customer service within the aviation sector. Presented annually by ACI World, these awards rely on passenger feedback from standardized ASQ departures and arrivals surveys, which are conducted independently to ensure objectivity and reliability.
This program allows airports to transform direct passenger insights into internationally acknowledged distinctions, making service excellence both measurable and visible. By leveraging independently gathered data, MCIA has demonstrated its ability to translate customer feedback into tangible improvements, reinforcing its position as a leader in airport service quality across the Asia-Pacific region.
