The Provincial Government of Cebu is set to revive its province-led trade fair, bringing the vibrant tourism and local products of Northern Cebu to the forefront in Cebu City. Scheduled from March 13 to 15, 2026, at Robinsons Galleria Cebu, this three-day event promises to highlight the unique offerings of the region's District 4 municipalities.
A Revamped Showcase for Northern Cebu
Organizers have announced that the fair, previously known as "R'Cebu," will now be rebranded as "Our Cebu! Pista sa Sugbo: Kasadya sa Cuarto Distrito." This updated concept aims to better meet public expectations while maintaining the core mission of promoting local goods. The event will feature a diverse array of exhibitors from towns including Tabuelan, San Remigio, Medellin, Daanbantayan, Tabogon, Santa Fe, Bantayan, Madridejos, and Bogo City.
Focus on Local Delicacies and Handicrafts
Attendees can look forward to sampling local delicacies, browsing handmade handicrafts, exploring hotel promotions, and enjoying cultural presentations. According to Provincial Assistant Administrator Adlwin Empaces, who spoke in an interview with SunStar Cebu on February 26, the fair has undergone significant improvements in design and concept. He noted that the event has become an institution, gaining traction under former governors Hilario Davide III and Gwendolyn Garcia.
Empaces emphasized, "We improved the concept and design to meet the expectation," highlighting the commitment to enhancing the visitor experience. The primary goal is to bring Northern Cebu's tourism offerings closer to residents of Cebu City, fostering greater appreciation and support for local entrepreneurs.
Supporting Resilience and Recovery
The Provincial Government also underscored that this activity highlights the resilience of northern municipalities affected by recent calamities. Communities in these areas are actively rebuilding livelihoods and revitalizing their tourism industry, making the fair a crucial platform for economic recovery.
Officials are encouraging the public to attend and support local businesses, urging everyone to experience the rich food, crafts, and culture of northern Cebu. This event not only celebrates regional heritage but also contributes to sustainable development in the wake of challenges.
