Philippine Airlines Celebrates 85 Years with Major Promotions
In a landmark celebration of its 85th anniversary, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has launched a significant seat sale offering round-trip economy base fares for both international flights and select domestic routes. This promotional event runs until March 15, 2026, providing travelers with an exceptional opportunity to book flights at reduced rates. The travel periods have already commenced, with international flights starting from March 2 and domestic travel available from April 1, 2026.
Extensive Domestic and International Route Coverage
The anniversary seat sale encompasses a wide array of destinations, ensuring options for various travel preferences. Domestic routes featured in the promotion include popular locations such as Puerto Princesa, Cagayan de Oro, Boracay (Caticlan), Butuan, Iloilo, and Ozamiz. For international travelers, the sale covers short-haul destinations like Hong Kong, Xiamen, Taipei, Bangkok, Denpasar, Hanoi, Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore. Additionally, long-haul flights to the United States and Australia are included, making this a comprehensive offering for both local and global journeys.
Expansion of the FurPAL Pet Travel Program
In a parallel development, Philippine Airlines has announced the expansion of its FurPAL program to all domestic routes. Originally launched in November 2025, this initiative allows passengers to bring small dogs into the aircraft cabin under specific guidelines. Each passenger is permitted to travel with one dog weighing up to 10 kilograms, with a maximum of three pets allowed per flight to ensure comfort and safety for all travelers.
Pets must remain inside a soft-sided carrier placed under the seat in front of the passenger throughout the entire flight. To participate in the program, owners are required to provide health certificates, vaccination records, and permits from the Bureau of Animal Industry. PAL has stated that the FurPAL program is designed to enable passengers to travel with their pets on domestic routes while strictly adhering to existing safety regulations, enhancing convenience for pet owners across the Philippines.
This dual announcement highlights Philippine Airlines' commitment to celebrating its 85-year legacy through customer-centric initiatives. The seat sale offers affordable travel options, while the expanded FurPAL program addresses the growing demand for pet-friendly travel, reflecting the airline's adaptability and focus on passenger needs in the modern aviation landscape.
