Nearly 2,000 New Physicians Pass March 2026 Licensure Examination
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has officially released the results of the March 2026 Physicians Licensure Examination (PLE), revealing that close to 2,000 examinees have successfully passed the rigorous assessment. This significant milestone marks a new wave of healthcare professionals ready to enter the medical field.
Examination Results and Passing Rate
According to the PRC, a total of 1,954 candidates out of 2,781 examinees passed the examination administered by the Board of Medicine. This translates to a passing rate of 70.41 percent, reflecting the competitive nature of the licensure process. The commission noted that the results for five examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations. Additionally, one result was withheld for further verification, ensuring the integrity and fairness of the evaluation process.
Registration Requirements and Procedures
Initial registration for the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration is scheduled to commence on April 22, 2026, through the official PRC website. Successful registrants are required to personally submit several documents, including:
- A downloaded Oath Form
- The original notice of admission
- Two passport-sized photographs with white backgrounds and name tags
- Two sets of documentary stamps
- One short brown envelope
Furthermore, all registrants must sign the Roster of Registered Professionals to complete their certification. The PRC has indicated that details regarding the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced at a later time, allowing new physicians to prepare for this formal recognition of their achievement.
