The encounter between the Philippines' girl group BINI and Mexican superstar Thalía was featured in a video shared by Billboard following the Billboard Women in Music 2026 event in Los Angeles, California.
Thalía Greets BINI in Filipino
“Mabuhay. Salamat po,” Thalía told the members of BINI during their backstage meeting, prompting excitement and admiration from the group as they met the Latin icon in person.
Thalía, best known for her role in the hit ‘90s Mexican telenovela “Marimar,” told BINI: “I have so many beautiful memories of your country. They have always been so loving to me for many years.”
Possible Return to the Philippines
When asked by BINI member Joanna if she plans to return to the Philippines, Thalía replied: “If you invite me!”
Awards at the Event
BINI received the Global Force Award at the Billboard Women in Music event held at the Hollywood Palladium on April 29 (U.S. time), while Thalía was honored with the Icon Award.
