Comedian and host Ryan Bang has confirmed the end of his relationship with fiancee Paola Huyong. In a recent interview, Bang cited differences in values and perspectives on marriage as the primary reasons for their split.

Ryan Bang on the Breakup

"We had different beliefs, different ways, and different thinking, especially when it comes to marriage," Bang said. He has been single since January of this year, admitting he did everything to save the relationship. "I tried, I really tried to fix it. Because at that time, I couldn't understand why it didn't work out."

The issue surfaced in September 2025 when Paola deleted their engagement photos from her social media. They quietly separated in December 2025. Speculations arose about a third party, but Bang denied cheating. "Of course, I also had faults in the relationship, but I never cheated. That's not true, what people are saying. I never cheat. Even before, I never cheat. I'm not like that. I'm serious about relationships."

Bang described the breakup as a painful chapter. "The world stopped. It was so hard. So much regret. In all my life, that was the hardest and darkest time of my life." He praised Paola's family, saying they were "so kind" throughout their relationship.

Bang announced his relationship with Paola on "It's Showtime" in August 2023. They got engaged in June 2024 after he proposed at Siesta Horchata Cafe, owned by Paola, in Quezon City.

Iwa Moto on Wedding Plans

Former Starstruck alumna Iwa Moto explained the delay in her wedding plans with long-time partner Pampi Lacson, former husband of Jodi Sta. Maria. In February 2026, Iwa shared videos of Pampi's proposal in Nara, Japan.

Iwa met Pampi in 2012 through a friend, Karen delos Reyes. "We met in 2012. When we got to know each other, we had just broken up with our significant others." It took years to finalize their annulments. "Mine was quick, about two to three years. What took long was their (Pampi and Jodi's) annulment. I think it was around 13 to 14 years. It took a decade, so our wait was long. But everything is fine now."

Iwa described Pampi as a calm and quiet person. "He's very down-to-earth and kind. People wouldn't expect him to be Senator Ping Lacson's son." She also shared the proposal story: "I wanted to visit my Dad's grave. He passed away a couple of years ago, and it was his birthday. So we went to Japan, and he proposed in Nara."

Iwa is looking forward to their wedding in 2028. "Unfortunately, I'm not a Disney Princess. We need to save up. It's quite expensive to get married, and it's embarrassing to ask others for money. So we're really working hard to earn so we can get married. After the elections, around August, so it's not too chaotic."
