‘Quezon’ Wins Best Picture at 9th Eddys

The historical drama “Quezon” emerged as the top winner at the 9th Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards (The Eddys), claiming the Best Picture award during the ceremony held on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Top Acting and Directorial Honors

Jericho Rosales, who portrayed the lead role in “Quezon,” bagged the Best Actor award. Director Jerrold Tarog was named Best Director for his work on the film. Additionally, “Quezon” won in the categories of Best Screenplay and Best Production Design, solidifying its status as a critical favorite.

In the acting categories, Maris Racal won the Best Actress award for her performance in the film “Sunshine.” Rochelle Pangilinan took home the Best Supporting Actress trophy for her role in “Child No. 82.” The Best Supporting Actor award was a tie between Will Ashley (“Bar Boys: After School”) and Rico Blanco (“Manila’s Finest”).

Several films were recognized in technical categories. “Salvage Land” won Best Cinematography, while “Sunshine” was awarded Best Editing.
