Taylor Swift has been hailed as the youngest inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The previous title was held by Carole Bayer Sager, who was 43 years old in 1987. Stevie Wonder remains the youngest person to receive the award at age 32 in 1983. Artists are eligible for the Hall of Fame 20 years after the release of their first commercial track. Swift released her song "Tim McGraw" in June 2006. She has produced 12 albums spanning genres such as country, pop, and folk. She has also won 14 Grammy Awards in the US, including four Album of the Year trophies. Also elected to the Hall of Fame were Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS.
