Third-year College of Technology students, specializing in Computer and Electrical Technology, courageously presented their capstone projects and thesis proposals filled with environmental consciousness, innovation, and knowledge of evolving technology. The defense sessions attracted computer systems experts, electrical technology specialists, instructors, and campus officials whose presence honored and encouraged the students as they presented their thoroughly researched and prepared ideas.
Each group stood with confidence and humility while defending projects aimed at solving real-world problems using renewable energy and smart technologies. The atmosphere buzzed with intellectual excitement as young minds demonstrated their potential to address pressing global challenges.
Groundbreaking Projects Showcase Technological Diversity
BIT CT 3-A emerged as the first group to present their automation and Internet of Things (IoT) based projects. From an IoT-Enabled Smart Plant Care System featuring automatic watering and pest management to a Smart Classroom Surveillance Framework capable of detecting noise and delivering automated alerts, they proved technology could become an instrument for environmental care.
Meanwhile, BIT CT 3-B and 3-1 demonstrated their expertise in smart security and comfort systems. The Solar-Powered Laser Security System with Biometric Authentication stood out as one of the most promising ideas by combining renewable energy with digital security—a perfect marriage of sustainability and protection.
BIT ET 3-A made a significant impression with their renewable energy-centered projects. Their Tri-Source Renewable Energy System, which integrates wind, solar, and ocean wave power, demonstrated their visionary approach to sustainable development and energy diversification.

Panelists provided insightful comments and advice to further refine these innovative projects.
