Families of the missing continue to hope that their loved ones will be found alive despite the commencement of retrieval operations at the collapsed nine-story building under construction in Angeles City, Pampanga. Relatives from various provinces are arriving and waiting for news of their missing family members.
Prayers and Updates
A prayer was held at the incident site led by Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Jon Lazatin. According to the mayor, there is no specific timeline for clearing operations as the safety of responders remains a priority.
Based on the latest report, 47 people were affected by the incident. Twenty-seven have been rescued, four confirmed dead, and 16 are still missing. Clearing operations continue using backhoes, dump trucks, and planned crane operations to speed up retrieval efforts.
A dog believed to be the pet of the construction site foreman was also rescued from the rubble during search operations. According to the City Veterinary Office, the dog is under observation and receiving proper care and continuous monitoring to aid its recovery.
