The Cebu provincial government, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), is currently conducting community trainings to equip emergency responders with the skills needed to handle disasters and emergencies.
Community Trainings for Emergency Responders
According to the provincial government, these trainings are part of an initiative to enhance equipment and continuously train emergency responders by providing practical and life-saving knowledge for crisis response.
New Warehouses in Danao City and Sibonga
In addition to the trainings, the government announced the construction of two major warehouses: one in Danao City for northern Cebu and another in Sibonga town for southern Cebu. Once completed, these facilities will serve as hubs for relief goods operations and bases for emergency personnel who can be quickly deployed in case of disasters in the north and south.
Additional Equipment
As part of preparedness efforts, the province has also added equipment such as personal protective equipment, rescue tools, emergency patient transport vehicles, heavy equipment, computers, and operational assets.
