PRC on High Alert for Pampanga Building Collapse

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) remains on high alert as rescue operations continue for a collapsed building in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga. According to the PRC, their deployed teams are coordinating with local authorities.

Rescue Update

Based on ground reports from the PRC as of Monday morning, May 25, 26 individuals have been rescued from the 47 affected persons. Search efforts are ongoing for 18 others reported missing, while the organization has confirmed two earlier fatalities.

Deployed Resources

The PRC has deployed Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) teams from its chapters in Pampanga and Olongapo to assist in the ongoing rescue efforts. A 24/7 Welfare Desk has also been established at Ospital Ning Angeles to provide Restoring Family Links and psychosocial support for the families of the victims.
