The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has reported that three Filipino crew members of the container ship M/V San Antonio, which was attacked by a drone in the Strait of Hormuz, are still undergoing treatment in Oman. Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac stated in a social media post that the seafarers have yet to fully recover from the incident.
Ongoing Medical Care
According to Cacdac, the three remaining Filipino crew members are being treated in an Omani hospital and are on the road to recovery. He emphasized that they continue to receive medical attention as they recuperate from the attack that occurred on May 5.
Repatriation Plans
Meanwhile, two more Filipino crew members from the same vessel are expected to be flown home within the week. Cacdac confirmed that these seafarers are being prepared for repatriation. The DMW head expressed optimism about their return, noting that arrangements are underway to ensure their safe travel back to the Philippines.
