Jennifer Tan Uy, the first Filipina Ultraman finisher, will headline a formidable local and international field at the Century Tuna full IRONMAN Philippines in Subic Bay on June 7, according to a news release on Sunday.
Race Details
The event features a grueling 3.8-kilometer swim, 180-kilometer bike, and 42-kilometer run. Uy will compete against entries from 45 countries.
Uy is returning to the same course where she finished as the top Filipina in 2024. This race is part of her preparation for the legendary Spartathlon Ultra Race in Greece, which will be held on September 26-27. The 44th edition of the Spartathlon spans 246 kilometers with a strict 36-hour cutoff.
“I don’t expect to win this year, but this will be of big help in my buildup,” said the 38-year-old Uy. She placed in the top three overall and was the fastest local female finisher in the 2024 Subic race.

Running concurrently with the full distance is the IRONMAN 70.3 Subic Bay, which includes a 1.9-kilometer swim, 90-kilometer bike, and 21-kilometer run. This event has drawn nearly a thousand entries, mixing seasoned veterans with rising stars.
