Man stabbed in Cebu City after argument

A 30-year-old man was seriously injured after being stabbed by another street dweller following a heated argument in Cebu City on Friday evening, June 5, 2026.

Incident Details

The stabbing occurred at approximately 8:15 PM along F. Cabahug Street in Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City. The victim was identified as Jack Bahinting Arco, 30, a resident of Barangay Casuntingan, Mandaue City, but was living on the sidewalk in Kasambagan.

The suspect was identified as Eric Bohol, an adult who also stays on the sidewalk along F. Cabahug Street.

Response and Investigation

The Mabolo Police Station received a phone call reporting a wounded man lying on the ground in the area. Investigators quickly responded and upon arrival, found the victim writhing in pain due to stab wounds on his abdomen and arm.

The victim pointed to Bohol as the one who stabbed him during their argument. Personnel from the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CCDRRMO) immediately brought the victim to the Cebu City Medical Center for treatment.

As of this report, the suspect remains at large and authorities are conducting follow-up operations to locate him.
