Vietnamese President Tô Lâm is set to visit the Philippines for a state visit, according to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO). The visit will take place from May 31 to June 1. Key topics to be discussed during the bilateral meeting between the two leaders include trade, investment, food security, and defense. This marks the first state visit of the Vietnamese President to the country since he assumed office. The diplomatic relations between the two nations were established on July 12, 1976. They further strengthened their ties as a strategic partnership on November 17, 2015.
