Davao de Oro Wellness Kits Transform Patient Experience in Public Hospitals

Patients in public hospitals across Davao de Oro are now receiving an enhanced level of care with the introduction of wellness kits by the Provincial Government. This initiative, spearheaded by Governor Raul Mabanglo, aims to bolster kahimsog or overall well-being among residents, marking a significant step in improving healthcare services.

Widespread Distribution and Immediate Impact

Since early March, a total of 4,091 patients admitted to four government-run hospitals have been provided with wellness kits upon admission. These kits go beyond mere supplies, offering a tangible sense of care that complements medical treatment. For many, the benefits are felt instantly, as shared by patients like Julita Budas from Pantukan, who noted, "The hospital has truly improved—we now have new bed covers and even wellness kits."

Practical Benefits and Patient Testimonials

The wellness kits have proven to be a practical aid, helping patients manage daily needs and reduce expenses. Renalyn Lorenzana of Nabunturan highlighted this, stating, "We can save on expenses; it is a huge help. This is my first time receiving a wellness kit." Margie Buyan of Maragusan emphasized the comprehensiveness of the kits, saying, "Almost all our needs are here. We are well taken care of; this is a big help." Patients from Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital Pantukan also expressed gratitude, with one remarking, "Thank you so much Governor Raul Mabanglo for this kit, this will surely help us."
