A 23-year-old man spent Christmas behind bars in Cebu City after being arrested for allegedly molesting a seven-year-old girl. The incident occurred last Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in Barangay Inayawan.
Suspect Admits to Crime, Blames Pornography
The suspect, identified only by the alias "Boy," is a lechon vendor by trade. According to police reports from the Inayawan Police Station, he confessed to the crime shortly after his arrest. In a shocking admission, Boy claimed his actions were driven by his addiction to online pornography.
"I was tired at that time! Then I watched a video and my body felt different," Boy was quoted as saying, attempting to explain his state of mind on the night of the crime.
Details of the Assault and Bribery Attempt
The assault took place around 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Authorities detailed that Boy gave the young victim five pesos (P5) in an attempt to persuade her to allow him to continue using a computer for internet access. While the child was occupied, he proceeded to touch her private parts over her shorts.
Contrary to his expectations, the young girl returned home and immediately reported the incident to her mother. The parents swiftly reported the crime to the authorities, leading to Boy's arrest.
Financial and Personal Consequences
