Bureau of Immigration Imposes Permanent Entry Ban on Deported Russian Vlogger

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has firmly declared that it will not permit the arrested and deported Russian vlogger, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, to re-enter the Philippines. According to Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, a permanent ban has been imposed on Vitaly from entering the country, in strict compliance with Philippine laws.

Investigation into Detention Facility Allegations Underway

While enforcing the ban, the bureau has assured that it is not disregarding the statements made by Vitaly regarding his stay in the detention facility. Commissioner Viado emphasized that they will thoroughly look into the allegations and revelations made by the Russian vlogger, who claimed to have had access to a smartphone and hinted at corruption within the jail.

Commissioner Viado stressed that any allegations and lapses in maintaining security at their warden facility will be seriously investigated. In line with this, he shared that operatives from the bureau have confiscated several contraband items, including unauthorized money, mobile phones, electronic devices, cigarettes, and other prohibited goods from their detention centers in Taguig and Muntinlupa City.

Recent Inspections and Operations Yield Results

These confiscations resulted from recent inspections and operations conducted at the said detention facilities under the management of the bureau. Commissioner Viado highlighted that anyone found violating the rules and regulations of the Bureau of Immigration will face administrative and criminal penalties without exception.

The bureau's actions underscore its commitment to upholding integrity and security within its detention systems, ensuring that all individuals, regardless of nationality, are held accountable for any infractions.
