A 15-year-old student from the Alternative Learning School at Bulacao Community School in Cebu City was found in possession of brass knuckles, locally known as bachicorno, during a school inspection on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
Discovery During Routine Inspection
According to Principal Marcial Termoso Jr., the school's security guard discovered the weapon inside the student's bag using a handheld metal detector. The guard immediately confiscated the brass knuckles.
Student's Defense
When confronted, the student claimed that the bag belonged to his older sibling and that the brass knuckles were not his. Despite this explanation, the school administration took the matter seriously.
Parent Meeting Scheduled
As a result of the incident, the school has summoned the student's parents for a meeting on Monday, June 29. The school is expected to discuss disciplinary actions and preventive measures to ensure the safety of all students.
